Better Healthcare

I recognise that healthcare services are some of the most important services provided for local residents by the Government.

Free at the point of use, the NHS has been available to all in the UK for over 70 years.

I welcome the additional £20 billion in funding delivered by the Conservative Government, and have been working hard to ensure local services are available for residents.

I have led a campaign to save the Walk-In Centre on Station Plaza, and have also pushed for improvements at the Conquest Hospital.

Local MP hosts public meeting to save the Walk-In Centre

Hastings and Rother Clinical Commissioning Group has announced plans to move the NHS Walk-In Centre to the Conquest Hospital. Currently based at the Station Plaza, the Walk-In Centre is important to the town due to its central location and accessibility. 

Update on Conquest and Eastbourne Hospitals

This afternoon I had an encouraging discussion with Dr Adrian Bull, Chief Executive of East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust, to get an update on the performance of local hospitals over recent weeks.
