Last Sunday, Amber attended Hastings’ Armed Forces Day, an annual event to support the service of the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community: from currently serving troops to Service families, veterans and cadets.

During the event in Alexandra Park, there was a parade including the raising of Union Flag, Wreath Laying and Drumhead Service of Commemoration. The remembrance service was carried out by members of the Armed forces, Veterans, Cadets, Scouts, guides and others. There were also performances from various groups including Hastings Coastal Twirlers, Hollington Gymnastics Club and the Cinque Ports Lindy Hoppers.

Amber commented:

“I am proud of the courage and dedication of our Armed Forces and I am grateful for this opportunity to thank our servicemen and women for the sacrifices they have made and do make to serve our country.

"Our servicemen and women put their country first and defend it in order to secure its future peace. The support and love of their families is integral to this.

"I would like to thank our local Veterans for organising such a fantastic celebration.”
