Amber recently hosted Women in Journalism’s ‘Women in Westminster’ event on the terrace at the Houses of Parliament.
During the event, Amber highlighted the importance of bringing together journalism and politics. A number of female MPs from all parties attended the event as well as a number of female journalists.
“I am proud of the progress that has been made and that more women than ever are choosing a career in politics. I strongly believe that the more women in politics, the better equipped we are to tackle the challenges of our time.
“I am aware that there is more to do. The Government is firmly committed to seeing women better represented across all walks of life and I hope that events like these will continue to encourage more women to enjoy careers in journalism and politics.”
