Amber lends her Support to the Hastings Beer and Music Festival

Local businesses sponsoring this year’s Hastings Beer and Music Festival turned out together with local MP, Amber Rudd last Friday night (12th June) to demonstrate their support for Hasting’s biggest music event. The evening offered an opportunity for Hastings Round Table to show its gratitude for their support in funding the festival.

Lawrence and Katherine, owners of the White Rock Hotel, hosted the drinks reception for the second year running, providing the perfect opportunity for local firms to engage and network as well as meet with the festival committee members.

Amber commented, “It was marvellous to meet the generous sponsors at the launch event of the HBMF. The event’s success is dependent on support from local businesses and we are all grateful to them for their continued support and enthusiasm.”

Ross Garnett, partner at the Main Sponsor Dynamic Scaffolding said, “This event is very special to us. It showcases everything that is good about Hastings. It’s fun, loud, colourful and enthusiastic. It puts our name in front of an audience that we want. We are delighted to be the main sponsor once again.”

Starting with the Hastings Prom Night on Thurs 2nd July, and continuing through the weekend with the Beer & Music Festival on Fri 3rd & Saturday 4th, it is expected that this year will exceed the 10,000 festivalgoers that came through the gates in 2014. Alexandra Park is still the iconic residence for the annual festival that has raised and donated to local causes in excess of £1m over its 37years.

Colin Gooch, Chairman of the Hastings Beer and Music Festival, said, “We appreciate the support of our MP, our sponsors and partners, who have once again showed their generosity. We must also remember that none of this happens without the 300 plus volunteers who give up their time, the bands, and of course all the wonderful audience, who always make the event so memorable.”

Tickets for the event are already available Priory Meadow Information Desk, Hastings Information Centre and at Hastings Windows, as well as at

This year, local music will be rocking Alexandra Park.
