Last Friday, Amber met with Chief Superintendent Jason Taylor. During this meeting, the pair toured Linton Gardens. This is following antisocial behaviour reports voiced to the MP in a recent survey.
“Following my survey, I became aware that a number of local residents to Linton Gardens were particularly concerned about drug dealing in the area. I wrote to the former Acting Chief Inspector to raise my constituents’ concerns to the Police.
“In her response, Chief Inspector Sarah Godley told me that being visible in the town centre is a priority for the police and that Sussex Police are working hard to have officers on directed foot patrol in the town centre. She also explained that they have been working hard with partners in the local authority, the Business Crime Reduction Partnership and the Substance Misuse Service over the past months to reduce anti-social behaviour within the district, especially around the town centre.”
“I was pleased to see such a swift response from our police forces and I welcomed meeting Chief Superintendent Jason Taylor on site to hear what is being done to combat and discourage anti-social behaviour. I will continue to work closely with our police to help ensure that our community remains a safe and comfortable place to live.”
