LOCAL POLICE will be able to provide better, more efficient services to our residents with the opening of a new custody centre, local MP Amber Rudd has today said.
This morning, the Hastings Custody Centre had its official re-opening after closing in October 2017 for essential refurbishment works.
“I am pleased to see the Hastings Custody Centre re-opening today. The works that have taken place will allow our police to provide better, more efficient services to our residents.
“I am grateful for the Police and Crime Commissioner’s continued hard work on this project. I will continue to work closely with Sussex Police to ensure that our towns are as safe as possible.”
The improvements bring the centre up to Home Office standards, including state of the art CCTV.
The improvements provide a safe environment for officers and staff. They will also enable officers and staff to deliver more effective local policing to the communities of Hastings and Rother saving officer and staff time.
