Statement on the Withdrawal Agreement vote

Following the Government’s defeat on the Withdrawal Agreement yesterday, I want to reassure my constituents that I am working to find a Brexit that can command a majority in Parliament and protects jobs, businesses and opportunities in Hastings & Rye.





Community Safety Funding applications open

Organisations affected by crime are being urged to apply for a cash boost worth up to £5,000 by local MP Amber Rudd.

The first application window of the Community Safety Funding for 2019 has now opened.

Hastings Borough Council to withdraw their plans to place solar panels in Hastings Country Park, local MP Amber Rudd has demanded.

The Hastings MP has started a petition urging the council to reconsider the controversial plans.

Amber Rudd MP was delighted to attend the Mayor’s Christmas Reception in the Mayor’s Parlour in Rye Town Hall. To celebrate the festivities, the Mayor held a Reception with festive food, merry music and wonderful company.

Lamb House is a National Trust site in Rye where both Henry James and E. F. Benson lived. During the Christmas period, Lamb House is holding Christmas events including introducing a new children’s trail based on ‘The Story of Holly and Ivy’.
