Following the Government’s defeat on the Withdrawal Agreement yesterday, I want to reassure my constituents that I am working to find a Brexit that can command a majority in Parliament and protects jobs, businesses and opportunities in Hastings & Rye.
Today Amber Rudd MP has welcomed the announcement that this Government will be freezing rail fares in line with inflation for the sixth year in a row, unlike the Labour Government who increased rail fares above inflation by 7.5 per cent in 2009.
Amber Rudd MP was delighted to attend the Mayor’s Christmas Reception in the Mayor’s Parlour in Rye Town Hall. To celebrate the festivities, the Mayor held a Reception with festive food, merry music and wonderful company.
Lamb House is a National Trust site in Rye where both Henry James and E. F. Benson lived. During the Christmas period, Lamb House is holding Christmas events including introducing a new children’s trail based on ‘The Story of Holly and Ivy’.
