Organisations affected by crime are being urged to apply for a cash boost worth up to £5,000 by local MP Amber Rudd.
The first application window of the Community Safety Funding for 2019 has now opened.
Organisations can bid for up to £5,000 to assist community groups which help reduce or prevent crime for local people and neighbourhoods in Sussex.
The scheme has supported many projects was launched in December 2013 and since then has supported 300 organisations initiatives with funding of nearly £1.5 million. The financial support aims to reduce crime and improve community safety.
Local MP Amber Rudd said:
“I am pleased to see the continuing success of the Community Safety Funding. Feeling safe and secure in our communities is of the utmost importance and the funding that the CSF provides is vital in supporting vulnerable people and taking measures to address crime.
“I will continue to work closely with the Sussex and Police Crime Commissioner to ensure that we protect our towns from crime where possible and try to take the steps necessary to support those most at risk.”
