Amber Rudd, MP for Hastings and Rye, visited Ore Village Primary Academy of The Kemnal Academies Trust (TKAT),  on Friday where she was greeted by Karen Roberts, Chief Executive Officer of TKAT and Ian McCrae, Head Teacher of Ore Village Primary Academy, and given a tour of the school and its grounds.

Amber Rudd, MP for Hastings and Rye, joined Sussex Police & Crime Commissioner Katy Bourne, Chief Inspector Paul Phelps, and Cllr Bruce Dowling, Mayor of Hastings, at the official launch of the new Police Hub in Silchester Road.

Amber Rudd opens new energy efficient data centre

Local MP, Amber Rudd, opened and newly upgraded energy efficient Data Centre at Conquest Hospital. The new data centre contains the Trust’s computer servers which store and back up data electronically.

New Little Skaters Nursery Rolls out in St Leonards

Amber Rudd, MP for Hastings and Rye, visited Little Skaters Nursery and Pre-School at the invitation of the Directors, Sarah and Nick Porter on Friday.  This facility will open from mid-August to cater for up to 50 children aged from 0 to 5 years. It is owned by Total Childcare Services Ltd (TCS Childcare) and is expected to create at least 11 jobs within its first year.

Government opens public consultation on reform to the Sunday trading laws

As promised in the Summer Budget, the Government has begun the process of much-needed reform to the Sunday trading laws. A key part of this process is a public consultation which allows interested consumers, employers, businesses and organisations to put their views across to the Government.
